Are you looking for a jazz trio for your wedding? Do you need background music for a social event? Want to dance to an authentic big band? Would you like to hear some lovely classical music as you walk down the aisle? Ready to rock to a hot dance band? I can help you with your musical wishes and supply great professional musicians for your event. Jazz, pop, latin and classical music are my specialties and I would be honoured to be part of your special evening. From an authentic jazz duo or trio to "The Mighty Flamingos", an 8 piece swing band, an 11 piece pop dance band or a full 17 piece swing big band and everything in between. Classical piano and flute duo, swing trio with upright bass and drums or female vocalist, strolling Dixieland band or an authentic Cuban latin band; all are available for a great day of music! BIO
Stephen's love for music, and the saxophone in particular, started at an early age. After graduating from high school in London, Ontario, he had his own radio show featuring live jazz every Monday night. What started out as a European vacation in 1985, turned into a 20-year professional career in musical theatre - Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, West Side Story, and many more. He lived and played in Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, New York, Atlanta. Highlights of his career include a guest performance with the Paul Shaffer Band on David Letterman and playing with the Schleswig-Holstein Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Leonard Bernstein. Stephen now lives in Kelowna with his wife and sons. He equally enjoys the natural beauty and the lively music scene the Okanagan valley has to offer.
